Hi O and Derrick and Andi. I agree with Andi. A very rare Saturday and again a rare Sunday. This is way cool!
That is a great shot of the fly. You even caught his tongue (proboscus?) out and in touch with the flower center. Do all flies have stripes on their backs like this one?
Excellent capture, Olivia! Have a wonderful Sunday. Raining here in Maryland. Had decent weather for the Preakness Stakes yesterday, although it was quite humid.
That's an excellent shot. Plus when I look at it, I sort of feel like it's a scene from a Walt Disney movie. You know the type I'm talking about. Where all the animals, insects, etc.. speak. :)
Oh my. You can even make a fly look pretty. He contrasts excellently with all that soft focused saturated color of the .....euphorbia? Did I guess that right? As usual, your photo is just stunning. :-)

Hi Olivia,
I wouldn't want to eat the fly myself but whatever takes your fancy! :0)
How do you manage to snap the fly before it flies away?
Derrick, *snort*
Wow, O. First a Saturday post and then a Sunday post. Now I do feel blessed. ;)

What kind of flower is this?

HELP ME! HELP ME! ;-) Amazing close-up!
Good morning Olivia.

A tasty treat… for a bird, maybe!
Dominating yellow. Me likee.
Olivia,
I love your journey through the pastels.
We`ve had pink, green & now yellow.
What`s next, Noods?
Very nice contrast shot Olivia.
There`s no flies on you.
Seriously, there is nothing I love more than up-close bugs. I adored Robin's bee photos. This is an absolute tie for first place.
Holy photo-mania! It feels as though I haven't been here months! Lovely stuff, O...and love to 'Head..XOXO
See you soon;-)

Nice one Olivia.
That fly has beautiful surroundings to go along with his tasty treat. You've captured him well, Olivia.
Just love all your photos... so lovely and fun!
My daughter would run screaming if she saw that -- she seriously hates bugs! :) Great capture, though, and I love all that yellow!
Leenie, I heard the little buzzy voice in my mind as soon as I read your comment.
Great shots Olivia!
the colors are awesome and great composition too!
